WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO EMBARK?
The Embark seminar was designed for college-bound high school juniors. Our 4-week hybrid course provides students an early start on planning their college experience. Our curriculum is tailorable to each student and our peer support model ensures every student feels connected to the Embark community, now and moving forward.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO LEARN IN THE EMBARK SEMINAR?
Our goal: help you be intentional, so you can get the most out of college. Our online course is comprised of four modules, each designed to be tailorable to you (your interests goals, university). Whether you're completed decided or undecided, we will help you get ready to Embark upon college.

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT FOR THE EMBARK SEMINAR?
Expect to spend 3-5 hours/week on Embark Seminar content and activities. We don't believe in busy work. Each module is carefully curated to include the topics and activities that are relevant and practical for you RIGHT NOW. We use student feedback to constantly refine our curriculum and programming accordingly.
DO I NEED TO BE AVAILABLE AT SPECIFIC DAYS/ TIMES FOR THE EMBARK SEMINAR?
The Embark Seminar is an online course comprised of four weekly modules (one module/week). You can do almost all content on your own schedule within the week. A couple assignments require collaboration with another student, but otherwise, the course schedule is completely flexible. Each week includes a live panel or workshop (during evening hours). We always record the session for people who can't join us in real time.
I HAVEN'T BEEN ADMITTED/DECIDED ON A UNIVERSITY YET. CAN I STILL ENROLL IN EMBARK?
Yes! We recognize the timeline and decision points for seniors vary greatly. As such, the activities and lessons in Embark are highly tailorable to your needs and goals. Previous students have shared that the activities included in the Embark Seminar have helped them navigate big decisions (in the moment and in the future).
IS FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE?
We started Embark to make college more accessible and impactful for all students. We do not want cost to be a barrier to participation in Embark. If you or your family cannot afford our program fee, we will provide a fee-waiver. Learn more here.
IS EMBARK USEFUL FOR UNDECIDED/EXPLORING STUDENTS?
Definitely! There is great value in starting college with an open mind. During Embark, you will think deeply about your interests, values, and strengths. Activities throughout the seminar will provide a framework to use this information to further explore and make decisions.
